About Us
The Forsyth Church of Christ is a congregation of people drawn together by a common faith in Jesus Christ, for worship and service. We are a free, independent, self-governing congregation under Christ alone as it's Head, with no denominational affiliation or earthly head-quarters.
We carry on our work and worship as we understand the Scriptures to teach. We exist to follow in the footsteps of our Savior who gave His life on the cross for the salvation of us all. Our message is "Jesus Christ and Him crucified" (1 Corinthians 2:2).
As taught in the New Testament, we call upon those who are not Christians to believe in Jesus Christ with their whole heart (John 8:24), repent of their sins (Luke 13:3), confess their faith in the Lord (Matthew 10:32), and be buried with Christ in baptism for the remission of their sins (Romans 6:3-7). God will then add them to the church (Acts 2:47).
